Boosweet Records recording artist and Billboard “Top 10” charting, award-winning guitarist Vernon Neilly made some “Fire” this past October (2018) in Argentina to offer master classes in a mini-tour of several cities, including Buenos Aires. Vernon was accompanied by renowned guitarist Jennifer Batten of Michael Jackson fame. Jennifer has also toured and played with guitar legend Jeff Beck.

These two world-class musicians put on a 3-day show line-up that offered a unique opportunity for local fans and guitar lovers alike to experience a dynamic string duel that was worthy of all lovers of good music. The tour featured headline stops at the following venues:

October 2 : Rockin’Music Bar in Palermo (Buenos Aires, Argentina)

October 3 : Sarmiento Theater in San Juan

October 4 : Teatro Metro in La Plata.

 

About the Artists

Vernon Neilly is an award-winning American guitarist and producer. At age 19, he began working as a presenter on the No. 1 radio station in South Florida (WEDR 99Jamz).

His experience in the industry led him to create his own record label called Boosweet Records, with international distribution.

Boosweet Records is currently an independent label based in Los Angeles (USA) and has been awarded several times, having edited productions since 1999. It was one of the first record labels to distribute music digitally, making Vernon one of the pioneers worldwide in this topic.

Neilly is also a Top 10 artist in the Billboard charts, having recorded, rotated and produced along with industry legends such as Johnny Guitar Watson, Etta James, Temptations, Steve Vai, Greg Howe, the Motown producer Norman Whitfield, Jennifer Batten, Slash, rapper Warren G, Howard Hewitt, Teena Marie, funk pioneer George Clinton, Brazilian guitar hero Kiko Loureiro and many more.

His G-Fire and G-Fire II records earned him this award-winning guitarist two consecutive Contemporary Jazz Awards.

Also, Vernon Neilly has ventured into acting, and has participated in three films: “Along Came Polly” (Universal), “Starsky and Hutch” (Warner Bros), and “Walk Hard” (Columbia Pictures). He also made appearances on the sitcoms “One On One” and “Girlfriends”.

Notably, Vernon Neilly-along with his label Boosweet Records and the Seymour Duncan guitar pick-up brand, Morley and Xotic Effects-made history in Argentina in 2011, producing the first international guitar competition with participation in media such as MTV, CM and Rock. & Pop.

Jennifer Batten born in New York on November 29, is a very distinguished guitarist. She has worked and toured with many great artists while also receiving stand-out accolades for her solo career.

In 1987 Michael Jackson selected her from among 100 applicants and included her in record-breaking Bad World Tour, where she was able to perform in close-ups with the King of Pop. That same year she worked with Stevie Wonder’s producer, Michael Sambello, to launch her own album that was titled Above, Below, and Beyond.

In 1990 he collaborated with Miguel Mateos on tracks 5 and 7 of the album Obsession.
In 1992 Michael Jackson again invited her to his Dangerous World Tour and in 1993 Jennifer participated with him in Super Bowl XXVII. He later released her second rock album called Tribal Rage: Momentum.

In 1997, for the third time she joined the exclusive band of Michael Jackson to participate in the tour called HIStory World Tour. A year later and until 2001, she joined forces with British guitarist Jeff Beck, as part of the worldwide tours “Who Else”, and “You Had It Coming”.

Batten to this day is still widely recognizable as “Michael Jacksons’ guitarist”.
